Make Someone Happy with Just RM30

What can you buy with just RM30? At today's rate, that's just USD10.06/AUD9.65/GBP6.18/EUR7.04/CAD9.94. You can't get much for that amount in the current high inflation regime.
However, RM30 can make someone happy this Ramadan. So far, 983 beneficiaries (poor families, children and orphans) have benefited from Yayasan Kemanusiaan Muslim Aid Malaysia's Fast2Feed programme that offers sponsorship package of just RM30 per recipient. At the time of writing, seven iftar events have been organised in various locations.
In the pipeline are 12 more events that will see more beneficiaries feted with iftar, given Eid tokens and basic essentials. Here are some of the happy faces.

Venue: Al-Malik Faisal Hall, International Islamic University Matriculation Centre, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Beneficiaries: Rumah Titian Kaseh (single mothers and children), Asrama Darul Falah (orphans and poor children)
Corporate sponsors: Petronas Gas Berhad, Lam Soon (M) Berhad

Venue: Multipurpose Hall, Masjid Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi, Taman Melati, Kuala Lumpur
Beneficiaries: Somali refugees
Corporate sponsor: Coca-Cola Far East Ltd

Venue: Taman Islam, Kemaman, Terengganu
Beneficiaries: Orphans and poor children

Venue: Asrama Darul Falah, Bukit Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur
Beneficiaries: Orphans and poor children

We'd like to thank all donors, individuals and corporate, who have made Fast2Feed 2011 a reality. Thank you for putting the smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries. With just RM30, you have made a difference.

For further information or donation, please look at the details on the right column.

Nice idea. I've just spent RM30 on 4kg green veggy and 2kg pork. Now off to buy the rest of the groceries for today. for RM250 I can feed 20 kids for a day and a half.

PS I meant to say I love your gardening idea. I'm going to our local orphanage today to see if they're interested, and if they are, I'll be picking your brains for tips on how to start with a pot plant garden. Our kids are aged 4 to 18.

Hi, very interesting post.
Its always good to help others in need when we can.
Be it $30 or $10, or $5.
Hands that help are holier than lips that pray.
You have a nice day.
Lee.
